Area Plan Summary: Area Plan hearings were held in 2009 in East Central Indiana to seek public comment on LifeStream's Area Plan for the next four years. The Area Plan is a working document for meeting needs of older adults and people with disabilities in Delaware, Madison, Grant, Blackford, Jay, Randolph and Henry counties in Indiana. The Senior Study Project conducted by LifeStream Services, Fisher Institute for Wellness and Gerontology and the United Way of Delaware County focuses on needs in the areas of transportation, housing and healthcare/wellness in Delaware County, IN. The study involved more than 1,000 individuals, businesses, focus groups and public sessions. The WHITE PAPER on the study is now available for review, discussion and distribution. May 15 Concert Featuring Carl Storie: Longtime area favorite and recording star Carl Storie will return to his hometown for a special 35th anniversary concert to benefit LifeStream Services. The concert will be held May 15 in Morrow's Meadow in Yorktown; concert 7-10 p.m., with activities for the whole family starting earlier. Tickets are $5 a person. Look for details soon.
May 19 LifeStream Legends EngAGEment event at The Players Club in Yorktown. Individuals or teams can register by visiting the LifeStream web site or visiting the Legends web site. Former Purdue and Colts quarterback Mark Herrmann will be among the legends joining teams that day. Registration at noon; event begins at 1 p.m.
