Catch A Ride
The New Inter Urban does not operate on the following days: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday, and if a holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. The New InterUrban is open to people of all ages. Call (888) 589-1121 to schedule a ride or click on this email link to send an email request for a ride. Reservations need to be made at least 48 hours or more in advance.
Connect&Go service provided in conjunction with MITS in Muncie. Funding partners include the Indiana Department of Transportation, local towns, county commissioners/councils, agency contracts and passenger fares. Drivers assist all passengers on and off vehicle with special assistance as required. Drivers secure wheelchairs and fasten seatbelts with approved methods and equipment. We also have a rider guide in large type as well as a Service Grid that shows at a glance the service options in each county we serve. The New InterUrban does not duplicate public transportation service within the city limits of Muncie, Anderson, New Castle or Marion, though transfer vouchers can be obtained in specific cases. LifeStream provides transportation services in East Central Indiana. Sometimes, transportation is needed for East Central Indiana residents to areas outside of The New InterUrban service area.
