LifeStream Services is recognizing National Nutrition Month® during the month of March with events at Senior Community Cafés. LifeStream has 21 cafés throughout 12 counties in East Central Indiana where people over the age of 60 can enjoy a nutritious meal on a donation basis. Those under the age of 60 are able to enjoy a meal for a small fee.

National Nutrition Month events include nutrition presentations hosted by Purdue Extensions of Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, Randolph, Rush, Union, and Wayne Counties. Purdue Extension of Delaware County will host a special series, Eat Smart, Move More, at cafés in Delaware County. Attendees of this presentation will sample food and learn how to live a healthy and active life. Additionally, LifeStream’s meal provider, Trio Community Meals, will host food demonstrations in which they will prepare a healthy meatloaf recipe that attendees can sample and receive the recipe to take home.

Those who wish to attend the events are welcome to attend lunch at the café site. Reservations for lunch are required in advance by calling 800-589-1121. Please see below information on serving times and the events taking place at each site.
