AngelWish Brightens the Holidays for 880 Seniors

2020 was a challenging year, but through these challenges the true spirit of our community was revealed. So many of us stepped up and asked how we could help. With seniors being the most at risk for COVID-19, they faced the brunt of a lot of these challenges. LifeStream’s annual holiday program, AngelWish, aims to brighten the holidays for seniors who are isolated and alone. This program became even more essential during the pandemic where many seniors are facing prolonged isolation and feelings of loneliness.

Forty-one volunteers and nearly 200 individuals, businesses and churches saw this need and answered our call for help. With this support we were able to deliver gifts to 880 seniors in our 12 county service area. With more donors than ever before, together we raised over $30,000 to benefit the AngelWish program and seniors in need throughout the year.

We simply could not have made the impact we did and will continue to make without the support of our community who we rely on to hep us improve the lives of seniors and people with disabilities in East Central Indiana.

As we look ahead to 2021, we know that the challenges we faced in 2020 are not over. If you are interested in supporting seniors and people with disabilities by making a friendly call, delivering emergency supplies, or making a monetary donation please see the links below.
