Vouchers for the Delaware County Senior Farmers Market will be available through LifeStream Services during a special sign-up session at Senior Day at the Market on Thursday, August 8 from 11am to 2pm, or until supplies last, in the parking lot at First Baptist Church located at 309 E. Adams St. Muncie, IN 47305. Vouchers are provided by the state at limited quantities, so please plan to arrive early.

Senior Day at the Market includes the opportunity to receive vouchers, as well as enjoy information and activity booths featuring give-a-ways, snacks, and breakfast items. Booths will be set up starting at 10am through 2pm.  This year, Senior Day at the Market will be part of a National Health Center Week celebration with lunch offerings and additional activities provided by Open Door. Open Door is a Federally Qualified Health Center, serving anyone in need of care, including those with and without insurance.

Delaware County residents over the age of 60 can redeem vouchers for fresh produce at the following locations:

  • Albany Famers Market: 208 E. State St., Albany
    • Sundays 2pm – 5pm
  • Landess Farmers Market: 6000 W. 700 S., Daleville
    • Sunday – Friday from 10am to 6pm
  • Landess Farmers Market: 220 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie
    • Monday – Friday from 10am to 6pm
  • Landess Farmers Market: 4818 N. Old St Rd. 3, Muncie
    • Monday – Friday from 10am to 6pm
  • Landess Farmers Market: 250 N. Tillotson Ave., Muncie
    • Monday – Friday from 10am to 6pm
  • Minnetrista Farmers Market: 1200 N. Minnetrista Pkwy., Muncie
    • Saturdays 8am to Noon
  • Open Door Health Services Farmers Market: 333 S. Madison St., Muncie
    • Wednesday & Thursday from 11am to 2pm
  • Shrock Family Farm: 5000 S. 750 E., Selma
    • Thursdays from Noon to 4pm and Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm
  • Yorktown Artisan & Farmers Market: 1901 S. Tiger Dr., Yorktown
    • Fridays 4pm to 7pm

The vouchers are worth $20 and can be used through October 20. Eligible items include beans, peppers, tomatoes, apples, and other fresh fruits and vegetables.

To be eligible to receive vouchers (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks), the recipient must be at least 60 years of age or older, or a qualified person with disabilities. A picture ID with date of birth will be required to verify age.
