Help your community become dementia friendly

LifeStream and The Leland Legacy will host Dementia Friends information sessions on the first Tuesday of every month starting December 3 from 2pm to 3pm at Roscoe’s Coffee Bar and Tap Room located at 185 Fort Wayne Ave. Richmond, IN 47374.

The Dementia Friends information session will equip attendees with the knowledge to help make their communities a safer and more welcoming place for those living with dementia and their caregivers. A Dementia Friend is someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with dementia through increased awareness and support.

Amanda Corman, Admissions Director at the Leland Legacy, will be leading the Dementia Friends information sessions at Roscoe’s. Corman shared,

“I personally am so thankful to be a part of this vision for our community and leading information sessions for Dementia Friends.  Not only does this allow a designated time and place for information sessions, but also allows community members that might not have a prior knowledge of Dementia Friends to stumble across a way that they can make an impact on their community. Our team is focused and determined to make Richmond Dementia Friendly one person at a time.”
