LifeStream receives Helping Those in Need grant from Glick Philanthropies

LifeStream Services is one of 66 organizations across 11 states to receive Glick Philanthropies’ Helping Those in Need grant. The grants were awarded to organizations focused on providing basic needs, including food, transportation, clothing and emergency shelter.

LifeStream will use the grant funds to deliver holiday gift bags to 160 residents living in Fairington Apartments in Anderson, Ind. The gift bags will be filled with items like laundry detergent, a throw blanket, towels, light bulbs, a night light, soap and other basic need items. The bags go beyond receiving material goods; it is the feeling of security and comfort in their daily lives.

Glick Philanthropies’ Helping Those in Need distributed $370,428 in total grants this year. The annual grant program, previously known as Feeding Those in Need, is part of a broader Glick Philanthropies effort to build community and create opportunity.
